Social Activities
The Rally provides plenty of opportunity to get together and
socialize with your friends and to meet new ones. And at the same time you may
visit our vendor marketplace, which is located in same fairgrounds
building.
FRIDAY EVENING
Bike Swap:
The Rally opens with a swap meet and get-acquainted party. Participants are
free to bring spare parts, bicycles or other items they wish to sell. Simply
stake out a portion of one of the tables set up in the Rally headquarters and
display your wares. There is no extra fee for participating in the swap meet,
but you must be a registered Rally participant. NOTE: The Swap Meet is not
intended for commercial sellers of merchandise, but as simply a way Rally
participants can buy and sell extra bike parts, etc. If you want to sell any
merchandise, you must register for the Rally.
Vendor
Marketplace: This will be your first crack at some of the vendor wares
and services. Don't worry though; they will be available through the weekend so
you will have plenty of time to shop until you drop.
SATURDAY EVENING
Wine
and Cheese Social: Paso Robles is located in the heart of California
Central Coast wine making region. Local wineries participate each year by
providing wine tasting for Rally participants. If you are a wine lover, this is
a great opportunity to sample the local fair. Wine orders can be taken from the
various vitners. The Rally provides cheese and crackers and other snacks. Other
local food delectables (such as olive oil) can be sampled as well.
Non-alcoholic beverages will be available
Best
of Show Contest:
For those who
put more effort into making their bike look beautiful than they do riding,
there is the "Best of Show" Contest. Entrants have their bike placed on display
Saturday evening to allow Rally participants, as they are strolling and
sipping, to vote for the best looking bikes in the following categories: Open,
Vintage, Tandem, Recumbent, and Unusual. The votes are tallied and the winners
announced Sunday evening.
Vendor
Marketplace: Here is another opportunity to make more purchases or walk
away with a bundle of information to plan your next bike tour.
SUNDAY EVENING
Cookout
and BBQ: The Rally provides the hot coals and participants bring their
own fixings for a picnic dinner. Or, if you don't feel like preparing your own
dinner, the Rally is providing a BBQ for $12/person. This is a terrific way to
meet new riders and spend time with friends during a great end-of-the-evening
meal.
Live
Music: To be decided: But you will be entertained by live music!

winners will be announced and door prizes given away. Each Rally participant
