Bigger and Better Bike Swap |

Friday
Night, from 5:00- 9:00 PM is the Great Western Bicycle Bike Swap. GWBR
participants have free admission and are allowed to buy and sell at the swap.
This year, volunteer and GWBR participant Al Van Varick, a bike swap
aficionado, will be promoting the bike swap to outside buyers and
sellers.
Look
forward to a bigger and better swap! GWBR participants do not have to reserve a
table, but non-participants must pay to enter the swap and reserve a table. For

Sylvester Winery BBQ |
| So many GWBR riders stop by
Sylvester Winery
that they wipe out their food inventory in their small store. To accommodate
GWBR riders, they will will be offering a BBQ on Saturday for those that stop
by. Details will soon follow. In addition, look out for news about a GWBR
commemorative wine with custom art work. This will also be sold at Sylvester at
the winery and the Wine and Cheese Social Saturday night! |

Atascadero Lions Pancake Breakfast

Mmmmm
...... good! Pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit, coffee and OJ will be prepared by the
Atascadero Lions Club Saturday morning from 7:00 - 9:00 AM. All proceeds go to
the Lions Club to support their charity which is the Mobile Eye Care Trailer in
the local area. The cost is $8.00 and you may purchase tickets online as you
register or on Friday, the day before the breakfast. |

Velo De Femme: Saturday
Back by popular
demand the Velo De
Femme continues to grow. Rest stop food (Sylvester Winery) will be
upgraded, the course will be marked and look forward to a visit to the
Templeton Farmer's market and a Clinic conducted by
Trek Women's Demo
crew member Tori Broughton. In addition Best Bike Zone will be on the 40-mile
route for support. The city of Paso Robles is generously supporting this ride by working
with city merchants to provide raffle prizes.

Merchandise this year is really cool! The design and
jerseys are made by Primal
Wear! On hand we will have jerseys, wind vests, arm warmers, t-shirts,
sweatshirts and custom printed t-shirts (design by order). Buy the jersey
online to ensure you get one and visit the merchandise booth at the Rally
Headquarters. |

Mr. Frog's Wild
Ride:Wildflower-full April is a great time to get into the frontier
spirit evoked by Mark Twain in his Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras
County. This is a springtime ride in the Sierra Foothills.

Northern California:Sunday, May 2, 2010: Shasta Wheelmen
Jamboree Century: The 40th Annual sign in at the famous Sundial Bridge.
Also offered are 25, 66 and family trail rides. You can register the night
before if you want to make a weekend out of it!
Southern California:Saturday March 6:
Tour De Sewer Fun
Ride: Pedal off those winter doldrums. Start the cycling season by
meeting old friends and making new ones in the expected 1200+ riders who come
for the past 23 years to enjoy the Bell Gardens Lions Club's Tour De Sewer. The
Tour de Sewer offers your choice of interesting 15, 30 and 62 mile fun bike
rides, not races. The rides will leave the John Anson Ford Park in Bell
Gardens, starting at 8:00 a.m. The 62 mile route will proceed north to Hacienda
Heights. On the 30 mile course there is one moderate hill to climb and descend,
the remainder of the course is relatively flat. The 15 mile course is flat.
Your entry fee includes the ride and full support, free t-shirt and lunch and
raffle tickets are included. |
