The Giro di Paso is a beautiful, fully supported cycling event which takes riders over the rolling hills to the East of Paso Robles and through the vineyards West of Paso Robles. Century riders will head all the way down to the Pacific Ocean before a challenging return up Old Creek Road. Metric Century Plus riders get the best of all worlds with the rolling hills east of Paso Robles, plus a cruise through the vineyards west of Paso Robles. Both the Century route and Metric Century Plus route tackle the York Mountain King of the Mountain and Queen of the Mountain Challenge. Get timed on this short sharp climb to see how you compare to your fellow riders, and possibly win a prize! The Scenico Route offers riders wanting shorter miles and less climbing a chance to experience the pretty back roads and winery roads around Paso Robles, Templeton and Atascadero.

King and queen of the mountain Challenge

For 2017, the King of the Mountain and Queen of the Mountain competition has been moved to York Mountain. This exciting change of venue gives riders a chance to test themselves against other riders, and possibly win a prize, much earlier in the ride. York Mountain retains the steepness of the previous KOM/QOM on Old Creek, but is shorter at 1.7 miles, allowing for more folks to be in and attempt the competition. The online route links mark the new KOM/QOM, plus we'll mark the start and finish on the route as well.
